Deuntay Diggs, widely recognized as the “Dancing Deputy,” rose to national attention when two viral dance videos to Beyoncé’s Formation reached over 90 million viewers worldwide. His journey has been featured on America’s Got Talent, Good Morning America, The T.D. Jakes Show, Time Magazine, BuzzFeed, and Business Insider.

A native of Wicomico, Maryland, Deuntay overcame a childhood of poverty after entering the care of a supportive family at age 13. He went on to graduate from the Virginia Military Institute, commission into the Army Reserves, and build a career in public service. He currently serves as a Lieutenant with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office and, since 2024, as an elected member of the Stafford County Board of Supervisors, where he was voted Chairman in 2025.

An author, doctoral student, recording artist, and filmmaker, Deuntay inspires audiences through his documentary Beneath the Scar and as a motivational speaker who connects with people from all walks of life.
