Known to many as the "Dancing Deputy," Deuntay first gained national attention with his viral dance videos set to Beyoncé's "Formation," which reached more than 320 million people worldwide. His performances led to appearances on America’s Got Talent, Good Morning America, and The T.D. Jake's Show, inspiring audiences with his energy, authenticity, and positive message.

Beyond the spotlight, Deuntay is an accomplished author, speaker, and filmmaker. He is the creator of the award-winning documentary Beneath The Scar: A Story of Resilience, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Based on his book of the same name, the documentary shares his remarkable journey of overcoming poverty, abuse, homelessness, racism, and discrimination to become a leader dedicated to serving others.

Deuntay currently serves as the elected representative for Stafford County’s George Washington District and is serving his second year as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. He made history as the first African American male elected to represent the district and to serve as Chairman of the Board. Through his leadership, he has focused on strengthening community engagement, supporting economic development, enhancing public safety, and ensuring Stafford County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

In addition to his public service, Deuntay serves as a Lieutenant in the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division, where he coordinates specialized public safety initiatives and community programs.

A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, Deuntay holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Liberty University. In 2025, he earned an Executive Doctoral Certificate in Criminal Justice from Liberty University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Criminal Justice with a Leadership focus.
